Use Solar and Wind Power to Make Hydrogen Gas

Hydrogen is most abundant element in the universe and attention as an alternative to fossil fuels, because it can be easily recovered by electrolysis. Electrolysis process between two electrodes by removing one electric charge gases hydrogen and oxygen from water. Hydrogen ions are positively charged and attracted to the negative electrode, called the anode.

oxygen ions are negatively charged and move to the positive electrode, called the cathode. charged performing electrolysis with battery of wind or solar power generated hydrogen gas with clean, sustainable energy. Connect your solar panels or wind turbines on 12-volt charge controller according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Use Solar and Wind Power to Make Hydrogen Gas

Charge your battery by connecting it to charge controller, which prevents overcharging. Drill two holes in bottom of bucket or plastic bin four inches apart. holes should be same size as your aluminum rods.

Insert rod into each hole. Position them so that they aren’t touching each other or sides of container, but leave ends protruding. Seal base of each rod with silicone caulk to prevent leakage.

Strip ends of your copper wire. Wrap portion of each rod protruding from bottom of container with wire, then secure with electrical tape. Turn your container over and fill it with tap water.

Add salt to improve conductivity, 10% solution of salt is ideal, so add one part salt for every 10 parts of water.
