Aloe vera, also known as medicinal aloe, looks like desert cactus with conical, pointed leaves. These thick and prickly leaves contain thick sap that helps cure many skin irritations. Many mothers are kept on hand to soothe burns, blisters and other skin conditions.

The sap penetrates skin and keeps away infection while soothing pain and make skin supple again. These features also make aloe vera in popular treatment for acne. Although not all aloe vera acne responds to treatment, it is said that sap to help clarify skin and rid it of healing.

Use Aloe Vera Plant for Acne

Cleanse your face with mild exfoliant. Gently rub particles over your skin and rinse them away with cool water, patting your face dry with towel. This removes dead cells, unclogs pores and cleans face.

Pinch leaf from aloe vera plant, you need no more than inch of plant for each application. Slice it open along one side with very sharp knife. Spread leaf open, sap side up.

Scoop some clear sap from leaf with your fingers. Spread it over your face in thin layer, rubbing it in until you can’t see it anymore. Let it soak in overnight and rinse it away next morning with cool water.

Apply aloe vera this way each night before bed. Exfoliate only every three days, rest of time use mild facial soap or skin cleanser before application.
