Troubleshoot Fleetwood Terry Air Conditioning Unit

Troubleshoot Fleetwood Terry Air Conditioning Unit

Turn on RV. Press air conditioner button to turn air conditioner on. Turn knobs to max strength and coolness.

Allow air conditioner to run for 5 to 10 minutes. Hold your hand over vent to determine if air conditioning system is blowing cold air. If air is cold, air conditioning is working.

If air is blowing but it is not cold, you may need to add more refrigerant to your air conditioning system. Inspect compressor. Open RV hood and locate compressor.

Remove air conditioning unit’s cap. This cap is located on left side of air conditioner. Remove blue cap by screwing it counterclockwise.

Connect valve under cap to air conditioner’s pressure gauge. Screw valve into gauge. Close hood of RV.

Turn on engine. Power air conditioning on and turn it to max. If it is still not functioning, you may need to take your RV to mechanic.
