Recharge Air Conditioning with Freon in Acura Integra

Locate Low Pressure Side port. You can find this under hood of car. It will be near front grill.

When you are looking from left to right, port will be almost directly in center. Take off port cap and set it aside. Determine if your car uses R134 or R12 Freon.

R134 compatible models will have quick connect port valves. Models made before 1995 may use old R12 Freon. If this is case, you must have your Integra’s air conditioning system retrofitted to use R134 Freon.

Check air conditioning system pressure using auto air pressure gauge. Keep in mind that car should be on with air conditioner running full blast. If pressure is in normal or high range, lack of Freon isn’t problem.

Attach refill kit hose to connector on Low Pressure Side of air conditioning system. Make sure you follow manufacturer’s directions.
