Painting porcelain tub is easy. Use the palm sander to sand bath in order to prepare it for painting. palm sander vibrates slightly and makes it easier to slide slightly above the surface of the porcelain to smooth in preparation for painting.

Any scratches or dings should be sanded down as well. Wipe away any dust or debris from sanding with wet rag and dry tub. Spray bonding agent onto tub with spray bottle in light spray and let it dry for five minutes.

Prepare your primer according to manufacturer’s instructions. Pour primer into your paint sprayer. Apply even coat of primer with paint sprayer in long, even strokes.

Start at top and work your way down to bottom. Use paint mask when sprayer is in operation. You may want to have drop cloths down or use masking tape to prevent anything else from getting sprayed, but this is optional.

Let primer dry at least 30 minutes before applying second coat. tub will likely need two coats of primer.
