These include clogged debris has been sucked into unit as leaves, dirt or grass, no power, thermostat that is too high and too little refrigerant. Removing obstructions of air conditioner is important to avoid long-term damage to unit, it is simple process to accomplish.

Turn off and unplug air conditioner. Place hose dry / wet at end of drain pipe cleaner air conditioning. Turn and follow suction drainage until nothing moves through line.

Set large, empty container underneath drain line. Open panel on top of air conditioner and open drain line cap. Pour in some regular liquid bleach into line.

Wait for bleach to finish moving through line. Pour clean water into drain line and continue to pour water into line until scent of bleach is gone. Tighten drain line cap.

Slide air filter out and clean with water until all dirt and debris is gone. Air dry it thoroughly before sliding it back into air conditioner. Remove any leaves, plants, debris or dirt surrounding air conditioner that could suction into unit and cause future clog.

Wipe down blower fan with clean, damp cloth to remove any dirt and debris. Close access panel and restore power to unit.
