Tighten any screws or brackets on base of chair or at bottom of stand to see if that impedes chair from turning. This will be enough to stop most chairs from turning, but others may not have option. Fit small rubber wedge under chair, between base and swiveling pole.

Hammer wedge gently into base so it creates seal between chair’s base and pole it sits upon. Don’t hammer too hard or you could damage chair. wedge will cause friction and will limit chair’s range of motion.

Wrap tape around chair’s pole and wedge, if wedge won’t stay in place by itself. One wedge should be enough to stop swivel, but add second on opposite side of pole if needed.
