Tucson in summer receives 7.42 kilowatt hours of solar energy per square meter, per day. Multiply efficiency times solar energy per day times size of your solar panels in square meters. For our example, we multiply .111 times 7.42 times 2.25 for result of 1.85 kilowatt-hours per day.

This figure is only for summer because we used highest solar radiation figure, so year-round average would be lower. This number also does not take into account cloudiness or buildup of grime on your panels or other problems which could lower efficiency.
