Flip array over so that cells are resting on masonite pegboard and plywood is free tow work with. Place solar cell array in direct sunlight and connect to positive and negative leads to voltmeter to test array.

array should register at around 18 volts. Create border around entire perimeter of plywood using 3 or 4-inch by 3 or 4-inch wood molding. Secure border in place with wood screws.
